The BFVFD Cadet Program is designed to teach young men and women, (who have completed the 8th grade) 9th – 12th grade and who are 14 years old or older, the Art of Firefighting & Rescue.
(Cadets CANNOT be utilized as firefighters).
This program is opened to High Schoolers, Alternate School Students and Homeschool Students. The program is limited to 8 students.

Cadet meetings:
1st and 3rd Monday’s of every month – 7pm.
(Cadets are to park in the gravel parking lot east of the Fire Hall and enter through the back door)
Belle Fourche Fire Department Meetings which Cadets are encouraged to attend.
2nd Wednesday of every month 7pm – General Fire Department meeting, dinner served.
3rd Wednesday of every month 7pm – training.
4th Wednesday of every month 7pm – Truck check/hall cleaning.
Special events as announced. Public events, open house, FD banquet, Fire Prevention, controlled burns, etc…
Cadets are not allowed at the firehall between the hours of 9pm and 6am, unless accompanied by their parents.
Cadet officers are:
President: Abby
Vice President: Dominik
Secretary/Treasurer: Ashlynn
Cadets elect their own officers.
Cadets do own fundraisers and have their own budget.
Each cadet is assigned to a BFVFD Truck Company.
Cadets are supervised by qualified adult advisors.
